Robo Patriots 2019
The CSAS STEAM Hub and VW eLab is a space where students can learn emergent technologies to create and problem solve. We believe these experiences are valuable for all students regardless of their career plans. The lab offers new opportunities for kids to think critically, collaborate, and communicate using digital fabrication equipment, design, and engineering practices. The VW eLab can be a gap filler for all our students by promoting greater equity in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) preparation. Guided by the standards of their content classes, students will use problem based learning and design thinking to print in 3-D, cut and engrave using lasers and routers, and prototype using more traditional woodworking tools. We are embedding the ideas originating from Chattanooga’s maker community to empower our students to become creators and innovators in all aspects of their learning.
